At Home - March 2003
Sunny was whelped at Chelons Kennels in La Center, Washington, on May 5th, 2000. Bob flew out seven weeks later
and brought her back in a special puppy carrier that was placed under his seat in the cabin.
Sunny's dad is multi-Specialty winner "Baloo", CH Lobuff's Bare Necessities, CDX, JH and her mother was the beautiful
and extremely clever "Neisha", CH Chelons Dream Catcher, CDX. Sunny's breeder says that she is very reminiscent
of her mother; she also reminds us of her maternal grandmother "Wren", CH Chelons Marsh Wren, WC.
Sunny is a stunning girl. She was very challenging as a puppy and has matured into a very sweet, very loving
companion. She qualified as a therapy dog in 2005 and enjoys making routine visits to a local nursing home.
Sunny has eleven points toward her AKC conformation championship, including both "major" wins. She took time off to whelp
her first litter in the Summer of 2003 and has since retired from the show ring. She hopes to enter the obedience ring after
her latest litter have all left the nest. She whelped her second litter,
all black, April 2, 2007. |
